WE SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT OF TANZANIA EFFORTS IN IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS FOR QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPEMENT AND EDUCATION
WeCARE Foundation (WeF) is the Non-Governmental organization that works to support the government effort in implementation programs for quality early childhood Education and Development. As a Nongovernmental organization its operations started in 2017 as a daycare centre and was fully registred as NGO in 2022.The focus of We Care foundation (WeF) is to enrich children lives through community engagement and empowerment activities that aim to reach optimal child quality development and learning for all children in underserved communities of Tanzania.

We are registered to operate in all regions of Tanzania. Our Headquaters are based in Mbeya Region, Iwambi area with one branch office in Mara Region, Tarime TC.

What We Do
Key Program Areas
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
The Organization invest to support quality early childhood development through integration of ECD interventions like Physical, social/emotional, and language/cognitive capabilities which are very vital especially in early lives as they support to lay a good foundation for child survival, health, learning and future good behaviors. The gradual child capabilities in physical, sensory motor, cognitive/language and social emotional will depend on structure of growing brain, and the quality of parent-child interactions. Children need to have high cognitive stimulation in environments or areas that they spend most of their time like at home, schools, and health care settings. Our ECD program aim to support caregivers in all settings with quality responsive caregiving skills and quality caregiver – child interactions to be able to identify child needs and respond to them. Our ECD interventions will include components of nurturing care to support children reach their full developmental milestones and attain good health and optimal development and reduce the risk of early child underdevelopment or delayed developmental milestones.
EARLYCHILDHOOD EDUCATION
The organization invest to ensure quality early education that is child friendly and age specific. The focus is quality pre- primary education to children aged 1-5 years and ensure that all children enrolled to our early childhood education centers are ready for primary Education. Establishment of more ECE centers and toddler sections to support quality early childhood education. The organization has established early childhood learning centers that support more than 130 boys and girls to access quality pre-primary education through its child friendly learning environment and qualified early childhood experts. The Center was established in 2017 and got full registration from the ministry of Social welfare in 2019.
DIGITAL HEALTH PROMOTIONS
The program interventions focus both parents, caregivers and children.
Parent seminars is one major health promotion the organization do to inform parents on matters that can affect child health, growth and development and how parents can participate in addressing or prevent them to achieve optimal health and growth for their children. A team of experts on health promotion topics are invited to facilitate the seminars. The organization has intervention on Teens and adolescent that aim to inform children on matters of their growth and changes and matters that affect their life with the belief that if children are given right information will support right decision making. Among the health promotion topics we implement is on nurturing care components, child protection, Prevention of Violence against children, child growth and changes
CQI
Invest In Community ECD Centres
In Tanzania, about 43% of children below five are at risk of not achieving their growth and development potential due to various factors like malnutrition. Child neglect and abuse, poverty, lack of parenting skills, and family economic and social stress. WeCare Foundation acknowledges the effort taken by the government of Tanzania through various nurturing care programs including the National Multisectoral Early Childhood Development Program that invests in early childhood development gains through a multi-sectoral approach in promoting all nurturing care components namely Good health, Adequate nutrition, opportunity for early learning, Responsive caregiving, and safety and child security of all children inclusively. To support this WeCare in collaboration with stakeholders mobilizes resources to invest in safe community ECD centres that will offer opportunities for children below five who live in environments that do not promote the five nurturing components to have access to safer environments to grow and develop. The Centre will focus on large city markets where caregivers move with children to conduct their economic activities, villages, orphan houses
